Sports Injury

Sports Injury does not discriminate between a weekend warrior or a professional athlete.  An injury can  be caused by one of two different sources.  The first from trauma, due to a twist, slip, collision and/or fall.  Or, from repetitive stress,  due to overuse of a certain body part, resulting in small often undetected tears in the muscle finders, which accumulate over time, called Micro trauma.  Increased intensity in your training and performance increases the strain and risk for injury.  Proper bio-mechanics, structural skeletal alignment, and soft tissue (muscles/tendons/ligaments) health is critical in supportive care when recovering from, or avoidance,  of sports injury.

Dr. Ducey-Clark’s extensive background in sports injury care and her own lifetime experience of being athletic, has enriched her effectiveness is successfully supporting her patients which range from the professional athlete to the person training for his/her first 5k run.

Utilizing a variety of different therapies, such as techniques similar to ART, a soft tissue technique used with professional athletes,  physical therapy modalities, rehabilitative strengthening and stretching exercises, joint mobilization with a biomechanical approach, Dr. Ducey-Clark assists patients everyday in their recovery from injury and/or prevent future injury.

Dr. Ducey-Clark, D.C., P.C. will determine if you are a candidate for treatment within her clinic based on detailed history and assessment of your initial examination.  Once your assessment has been completed, she will design your own personalized treatment plan that will fit your lifestyle and healthcare goals.

Patient Testimonial

Michele A. – CEO

“Last year I suffered a severe ankle sprain while training for the Colfax Marathon. I ended up in a walking cast for three weeks and was very concerned about how to recover to my previous running abilities. .. Dr. Ducey-Clark adjusted, and educated me on how to strengthen my injured leg. She provided me with caring confidence and healed me with her “magic hands. This year, I ran a leg of the Transplant Relay Team with my husband and friends for the Colfax Marathon, and then just last week, we ran the Bolder Boulder in just over one hour. I feel the strength of my ankle is close to 100%, if not already there, thanks to Dr. Ducey-Clark. She is an amazing health care provider.”
